New Technologies and Installation Techniques for Marine Air Conditioning Systems

Join us for ABYC's educational webinar on Wednesday, August 20th at 1:00 PM ET. In this webinar, join Justin Celauro from Domestic and, and representatives from Archer Power Solutions (Kingfisher).

Description: Justin Celauro will show the latest in technologies and how Dometic has included them on their newest products, and how their teams monitor the latest in HVAC innovations in the residential and commercial industries and brings them to the Marine Market. Onat Dogruer will discuss challenges of off-grid air conditioning along with its performance and challenges under certain conditions. Attendees will be introduced to the Kingfisher, a true DC-powered marine air conditioner with patented technology, and will get a close look into the applications of its electronics, and design features.

Justin bio: Justin Celauro is a Licensed Professional Engineer who has been working in the Marine industry for 12 years. He started his career as an engineer designing product for Dometic and is now an acting Product Manager representing Marine HVAC-R produced by Dometic. In his spare time, he actively competes in Triathlons.

Onat bio: Onat Dogruer is Co-Founder and President of Archer Power Solutions, a company based out of Maryland driving the future of clean technology, founded in 2019. Archer Power Solutions is an off-grid air conditioner manufacturer with proprietary software which focuses on Direct Current air conditioning. Onat has a background in logic/software coding and in the marine electric and air conditioning service industry. At Archer, Onat brought together a small team of engineers with expertise in thermodynamics, mechatronics, defense, aerospace, and transportation segments, which resulted in the development of software and processes to make the technologically advanced and energy efficient Kingfisher DC Marine Air Conditioner™.

Prior to starting Archer, Onat spent years of servicing the products in the marine air conditioning space, and saw the need to think outside of the box in terms of marine air conditioner design. Onat had an early career in project management in the corporate sector but a career path in the marine space kept calling. As an avid boater, he uniquely understands the importance and challenges of power generation and supply.

Onat has been cruising along the eastern seaboard of the U.S. and throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean for over 35 years. He is a USCG Merchant Marine Captain and has piloted many different kinds of vessels, both sail and power, from 15 to 85 feet. Onat holds an MBA in Operations and Computer Information Systems and received ABYC’s Electrical, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration certifications, and EPA 608 certification.
